IMPORTANT: Procedure in case of verbal abuse

Out of respect for the clinic staff, we will not tolerate any aggression or verbal violence. We are facing an increase in these cases, which affects the stability of our staff, our effectiveness in meeting your needs and unfortunately requires more severe actions.
The following measures are put in place in the event of verbal violence:
Immediate verbal notice by the staff member witnessing or victim of the verbal violence.
If the behavior persists:
End of phone call if the abuse was done by phone.
Patient present on site: must leave the clinic and return when better disposed.
If the patient has a non-urgent appointment, it will be canceled, with fees for absence. The patient will need to make an appointment again.
If emergency appointment: patient will be seen, with notification to the doctor with whom the patient has an appointment.
Patients meeting with our responsible GMF doctor to inform them of our policy.
In the event of a first recurrence:
Written notice
In the event of a 2nd recurrence:
Application of consequences which may go as far as unregistration from their family doctor (breakage of the bond of trust). Reasonable efforts will be made to help the patient find another family doctor if necessary.
